In the past year, BCC grew its revenues by 34% of which as much as a quarter was attributed to export services. The company expanded its team of SAP consultants by 50% and is developing the capital group by hiving off specialised subsidiaries.
The value of BCC’s sales in 2007 amounted to PLN 50.2m and was 34% up on 2006. Together with its subsidiary 7milowy, the BCC Group recorded an even bigger revenue growth of 43%. The total sales value of BCC and 7milowy was PLN 62.3m.
”Such a remarkable growth in the performance of BCC and the entire group was possible thanks to the favourable trends on the IT market. Despite rumours of a possible breakdown, the market of ERP projects for large companies is doing well. Businesses keep investing in the development of advanced IT solutions, including the expansion of SAP functionalities. In 2007, clients appreciated the experience of BCC choosing us as a partner in challenging, large-scale assignments, including SAP projects associated with the consolidation of capital groups. We are also observing a growing globalisation on the IT market. More and more often SAP projects are implemented on a number of markets at the same time and multinational corporations select suppliers looking at their professional competence instead of the country of origin. That’s why in 2007 the share of export services in the BCC sales revenues reached the record-breaking 25%”, said Bartłomiej Buszczak, BCC President.
In 2007, BCC managed the highest number of SAP projects in its 13-year long history. The company initiated a number of cross-area projects for capital groups involving reorganisation and standardisation of the management model in the groups. Examples include SAP implementations in Krośnieńskie Huty Szkła capital group.
Last year, BCC strengthened its position on the international market. In spring 2007, the company completed the project for Antalis in four European countries (the biggest international SAP implementation managed by a Polish consultancy firm to date). BCC also led two complex SAP implementations for FMCG sector client in the countries of Southern Europe. Recently, a project of the size similar to that of Antalis started, involving international SAP implementation for AmRest.
In 2007, BCC continued to develop its range of services related to outsourcing and SAP servicing. The company signed 26 new contracts with such clients as ABB, Amica, Elektrociepłownie Wybrzeże, ING Bank Śląski, Media Regionalne, Praktiker, Sanofi-Aventis, Tchibo and other. The company also concluded the first contracts for the hosting of non-SAP systems. The new contracts boosted this segment of revenues by 50%.
”By expanding the scope of cooperation with the existing clients and signing new implementation and outsourcing contracts, we have enhanced our position of the largest supplier of SAP-related services in Poland. We have grown our headcount of consultants. At the moment, our group employs over 200 SAP specialists, making up the biggest team in Poland and one of the biggest teams in this part of Europe”, emphasised Bartłomiej Buszczak.
A new element in the BCC group development strategy is to expand its non-SAP offering, for example, by hiving off specialised companies within the group. Until recently, the BCC group consisted of two entities, BCC sp. z o.o. and 7milowy sp. z o.o. In October 2007, a new company called INNOVIO joined the BCC group. INNOVIO focuses on the development of specialised, custom-made software for individual orders of businesses and institutions. Since December 2007, External Services has become part of the group, providing administration and accounting services for other BCC group companies and for clients from the SME sector.
In 2008, BCC is planning to set up two new companies: BCC Outsourcing with a focus on ‘hard’ outsourcing of IT systems (also non-SAP) and BCC Edukacja specialising in the development of the group’s training offer including SAP, other IT solutions offered by the BCC group and business training programs.
In 2008, the BCC Group will be heading towards a 25% growth of its sales revenues with a view to new, complex implementation projects in Poland and abroad. BCC’s export sales is expected to remain at least at the level of 25% of the total sales.
