AdobeForms: a new technology offered by the BCC’s ABAP Development Center

Since August 2008, BCC has extended the offering of the ABAP Development Center by including the development of forms using the new AdobeForms technology.

In the latest versions of its systems, SAP AG implemented a technology developed by Adobe which is used to generate PDF documents. It is not only a very attractive alternative for the well-known Sapscript and Smartforms, but also a solution which allows for the creation of interactive PDF forms.

The layout of the documents is defined using a very sophisticated tool called Adobe LiveCycle Designer. The tool helps to generate forms in a printable format or PDF documents with fields which can be populated with data to be placed on HTML pages. The PDF forms with interactive data fields are ideal, for example, for all kinds of questionnaire applications.

The offering of the ABAP Development Center is addressed to the clients with a considerable demand for programming work and expect high quality standards at a competitive price. The reduction of costs and execution time is possible, among other things, thanks to a remote work system. ABAP Development Center usually works with the Clients pursuant to long-term contracts based on an average estimated demand for programming work.
