BCC, a provider of IT outsourcing services and services based on data center infrastructure, has selected solutions by EMC – a leading provider of disk-based backup solutions and a leader in mass storage.
Ensuring a high levelof security and performance of systems is one of major challenges in the development of a data center on which BCC bases the provision of its services, such as IT hosting or providing a backup server room, for a growing number of customers.
Tomasz Wawrzonek, IT Manager at BCC, says: “The solutions previouslyused by BCC, although reliable, did not keep up with the technological development. We faced the task of redesigning backup systems to keep pace with the ongoing growth of data volumes and virtualization. Our goal was to increase the level of data security, and to speed up the process of data backup and recovery. After reviewing the offerings from various manufacturers and comparing – also by performing the actual tests on multiple systems – various solutions available on the market, we chose the EMC solutions”.
