Kompania Piwowarska monitors the IT environment in the Nagios system

BCC conducted an implementation project for the IT environment monitoring system for Kompania Piwowarska, the leading producer of beer in Poland.

The scope of the project included a review of the infrastructure and IT monitoring systems, preparation of the solution concept, implementation and integration of monitoring tools and training for administrators.

Kompania Piwowarska has benefited from decades of experience of the BCC Outsourcing Centre as regards good practices in the area of accessibility and capacity management of complex IT environments. Thanks to the selection of a few open-source applications, extended with BCC proprietary solutions a complete monitoring system was designed, corresponding to the needs of both administrators and managers. The system is characterized by high efficiency and allows you to modify the parameters and scope of the operation, in accordance with the changes in the monitored environment. The open architecture of the implemented solution allows for supervision of the complementary operation of the monitoring system and is also a support application for the management of IP addressing.

Kompania Piwowarska is one of the largest beer manufacturers in Poland. The company’s portfolio includes most popular Polish beers, among others: Tyskie, Żubr, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s, as well as international premium brands: Pilsner Urquell and Grolsch, as well as specialities brewed according to traditional recipes; Tyskie Classic or Speciality Collection of the Książęce. In selected premises of the company, unpasteurized beer lovers are offered beer straight from the brewery that is; Tyskie from the tank. The novelty in the company’s portfolio from 2013 is cider – Green Mill Cider – beverage produced from 100% Apple juice. Kompania Piwowarska (created in 1999) has three breweries (in Tychy, Poznan, and Białystok) and sales division all over the country. KP is one of the leading sponsors of sport and also runs social activities and educational programs popularizing responsibility and moderation in alcohol consumption. The sales volume achieved by KP in the financial year that ended on 31 March, 2014, amounted to 13.3 million hectolitres of beer. Kompania Piwowarska is a part of the international brewing group Sabmiller.
