Novitus has finished implementation of an online store (Internet Sales Application – ISA) in the SAP system. The implemented mySAP CRM component will improve managing the process of sales to distributors. The project, carried out by BCC and one of the first of this type in Poland, has lasted 4 months.
The online store ensures trade partners of the largest manufacturer of fiscal cash desks in Poland constant access to current product catalogue along with their prices, photographs and technical data. The system helps check product availability, create a shopping basket and place an order. Then the application generates the price with consideration for the discount applicable for a particular client. Moreover, the solution gives clients access to settlements with Novitus, which helps easily manage payments. All is done within a safe WWW connection.
‘As a company working in new technologies sector we did not hesitate to employ an innovative IT solution, namely mySAP CRM, in internet sales. Our project is one of the first in Poland in this scope’, says Krzysztof Mituś, Manager of the IT Systems Administration in Novitus.
Novitus management decided to develop a new distribution channel due to the key role of sales through trade partners in the company’s strategy. Robert Sztaba, the head of distribution sales in Novitus, comments: ‘The new solution has a vital impact on our competitive edge. Thanks to this information servicing distributors is more efficient than it used to be, with less involvement of our trade department’.
