Real and Praktiker market chains will use mySAP HR solutions

In chains owned by Metro Group, a hypermarket chain Real and Praktiker construction stores, BCC is carrying out the implementation of SAP solution in human resources management.

mySAP HR system will include the data of 9,000 employees of Metro Group, the biggest trade concern in Europe, which owns Real and Praktiker chains and others. BCC consultants started implementation works in June. The scope of works includes personnel administration, worktime management with its evaluation and payroll.

“Thanks to an easy access to consistent and current personnel and payroll data, mySAP HR will become a tool to support taking management decisions throughout the whole group. During the choice of an implementation partner the main factor was experience. BCC has carried out much more then ten large SAP implementation projects in HR area, including the one for Makro Cash & Carry – the first unit of Metro Group which has been succesfully using SAP for a few years already”, said Norbert Brandt, HR director in Praktiker Polska sp. z o.o.

Besides Real and Praktiker chains, mySAP HR implementation will also cover other units of Metro Group, such as: MAM METRO Group Asset Management Polska, MGA METRO Group Advertising Polska, MGI METRO Group Information Technology Polska, MGB METRO Group Buying Polska, MGL METRO Group Logistics Polska.

The start of the system is scheduled for January 2005. The target number of users will be 85 people.
