Summary of 2009: BCC retains a leadership position on the SAP services market

In 2009, the biggest SAP consultancy in Poland generated the revenue close to the record-breaking results of 2008. Last year, BCC delivered projects and outsourcing services to more than 150 customers from Poland and abroad.

The company’s net revenue in 2009 reached PLN 76.3 million, 40% of which is export revenue, which makes BCC one of the biggest Polish exporters of IT services. At the same time, the company stayed at the same level of profitability.

“After the record-breaking year 2008 when our revenue increased almost by 60%, we aimed at the stabilization and maintenance of the leadership position on the SAP market. Due to the economic slowdown, many of our clients suspended or postponed IT undertakings they had planned earlier. Revenue of BCC in 2009 was only 4% lower than in 2008. We consider this result very good, especially against a background of the sector whose various representatives were forced to the significant reduction of their business potential” – said Bartłomiej Buszczak, President of the Management Board in BCC.

In 2009, SAP projects carried out by BCC in Poland included projects in Aquanet, AstraZeneca Pharma, FM Logistics, Kulczyk Tradex, Grupa Żywiec, AmRest, Wolters Kluwer, and comprehensive SAP upgrades, for example in GlaxoSmithKline and Volkswagen Group. Outside Poland, BCC was responsible, among others, for the implementation of a new SAP solution to support the distribution activity of a capital group from the FMCG sector in Holland, as well as for SAP rollouts in Belgium, Serbia, and Romania. BCC consultants executed the development and data migration tasks for global and regional SAP competence centers within SAP projects in dozens of countries worldwide.

In 2009, the BCC Outsourcing Center started to support over 20 new contracts in the scope of hosting, system administration and SAP application services (SAP user support), e.g. such companies as Aquanet, Decora, Hochtief, Winkhaus. Currently, the BCC Outsourcing Center supports more than 100 SLA contracts.

Furthermore, in 2009 BCC developed new services and products. The offer of the BCC Outsourcing Center was expanded by WAN outsourcing. BCC also made available new proprietary enhancements to the SAP standard (BCC EXTRA offer), including but not limited to Single Customer View and e-Declarations in SAP HR. In 2009, BCC started to use an improved implementation methodology, Go Forward, that includes among others the engagement of the BCC service organization, working in compliance with ITIL standards, in the implementation tasks.

“Our assets include the most experienced and Poland’s biggest team of SAP consultants composed of nearly 200 people, a professional Outsourcing Center and world-class working standards. This allows us to provide the most demanding clients with the support for an entire SAP solution life cycle in the company – from the implementation, through the maintenance and support in the every day use to the development” – says Andrzej Moskalik, Sales Director in BCC.
